Beijing Rikon Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. was established in Beijing in 2003. As a domestic high-tech enterprise, it specializes in the comprehensive development, production, and sales of electrical appliances, with over 10 domestic invention patents for its products. The company is the inventor of the yogurt maker and the formulator of the new standards for wine coolers.

In 1999, Rikon developed the household yogurt maker, opening a new field in the domestic home appliance industry.

In 2007, Rikon developed a commercial yogurt fermenting cabinet and obtained an invention patent in 2010, filling the gap in the electrical appliance industry for on-site yogurt fermentation equipment. At the end of 2013, the company invested heavily in establishing a refrigeration equipment R&D and production base in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province.
